Unexpected Wisdom

Surprisingly, this inspiring and timely article came within a real estate and finance blog!--not where you typically expect to find profound life lessons. My entire perspective on things changed while letting these words sink in. I have highlighted some gems here, but the entire read (5 mins) is worth every word. Enjoy.

"There is no reason to lament or regret anything. You did the best you could with what you had in the moment. Trust yourself, forgive yourself, ask more or less of yourself accordingly, but do it in that very moment."

"It takes learning to adapt to who you are and what you were made to be, not who you think you should be. Open up and really hear what your soul is trying to tell you."

"If we grasp the truth and set aside our fear, our ego, then, and only then, will we begin to truly shine."

"We truly do not have to, nor are we supposed to, control every moment. There is a rhythm to life that flows naturally and beautifully. Relax and just let go. Take life less personally."

"All of our answers are within. All of our answers come when we let go of our fears, open ourselves up, and allow them to come with acceptance, not force; with understanding, not denial; and with awareness, not fear."

Searching for....(____)

Searching for something. Aren't we all?

Hasn't every human since the beginning of time stretched their view....seeking meaning to all that's left loose-ended in the world? Some find answers that satisfy them, some continue digging for a lifetime. Maybe for those diggers, it's this quest for clarity that makes them truly alive.

At the moment, I find myself in the latter category. I am a seeker: A seeker of experiences, of knowledge, of love, of peace, of wisdom, of happiness, of truth, of soul, of God.

In this adventure called life, I am seeking myself. The infinite layers of myself: curiosity, intellect, emotion, faith, creativity, compassion, inspiration, humor, drama, ad infinity.

This blog is meant to be an outlet for new thoughts and revelations, and a reflection of myself in the world as I know it. There will be little logical flow to this collection of entries--I will let flow happen naturally. My observations of the world are obviously limited...I am one man with one perspective. Therefore, some blog musings won't even be my own. I will periodically give the stage to someone who, for a moment at least, articulated something that no one else could in the same way. I want this journal to be entertaining, light, and readable. However, this journal is the extension of a person's mind and soul, meaning it will have very human characteristics. If written with truth, it should include the good, the bad, and the ugly. No mask.

Please feel free to contribute to my journey and my journal, as I sincerely hope I can contribute to yours.

A fun watch to send the ship off....
